ST. LUCIA – Nancy Cole-Auguste & Moses Auguste

This video clip of Moses and Nancy Cole-Auguste was taken from an interview by Pat Paccassi in 1994-5 during a trip through the islands recording memories from the formation stage of the Baha’i Faith in our area.

Nancy first came to St Lucia for a summer teaching project held in St Lucia in 1981. She fell in love with the country and people and returned as a pioneer in December of the same year. She later married Moses Auguste who had also served on the teaching project. Nancy has been an active Baha’i teacher on the island, as well as traveling to other islands. She has served on the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of St Lucia for several terms. In this clip, she describes the process that brought her to the island.

Moses became a Baha’i in 1978 on his 15th birthday, after having heard of the Faith from his sister, Juliana, and attending children’s classes in Sans Souci. He has remained steadfast and loyal to the Faith and has served on the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of St Lucia for several terms, holding the office of Chairman for many years. In this clip, he talks of his first encounter with the Faith and its teachings.
